The choice would be, IMO, between him and Matt Cameron.

Both of them drum like Maria Callas taking a nap inside Shane McGowan´s nostrils.

Nah, Matt Cameron's drumming style is more like a a jar of pickled green beans being eaten by the ghost of Lord Palmerston on a ferry boat at midnight.

When God eats a wedge of cheese the size of Mount Rushmore, he craps out Dave Grohl's drumsticks.

Dave Grohl drums like Vesuvius and roundhouse kicks Chuck Norris into oblivion simultaneously.

Dave Grohl is a Godlike Genius
Bryan Wawzenek | 01.11.2011

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl will be given the Godlike Genius award at February’s Shockwaves NME Awards in London. Grohl will pick up the award on Feburary 23 at the O2 Acaedmy Brixton. His band will also perform that evening.

“I don’t think I’m godlike or a genius,” he told NME.com. “It’s flattering. It’s a nice thing to be acknowledged for doing something you love to do, but in truth I don’t consider it a body of work because I don’t consider it work.”

The former Nirvana drummer will join an elite bunch of previous honorees: The Cure, The Clash, Paul Weller, Manic Street Preachers, Primal Scream and New Order.

The Shockwaves NME Awards follow the Shockwaves NME tour, a U.K. trek which features Crystal Castles, the Magnetic Fields, Everything Everything and The Vaccines.

On the way to work this morning, I heard this incredible noise that I at first assumed to be Cthulhu sneezing a nail bomb through the Great Wall of China. You'll never guess what it actually was.....

I've long likened Grohl's drumming to all the sumo wrestlers in the world fucking me at the same time.

Dave Grohl's drumming is the aural equivaent of having fifty supercharged kango's bouncing on your bollocks, whilst shaving with an oxy-acetylene torch.

Hmm. That's weird. I think about all the sumo wrestlers in the world fucking you at the same time all the time - for personal reasons - but it's never reminded me of Dave Grohl's drumming.

Thanks.
