Don't we all do this at BCB Cup time or is this thread for our real favourites rather than just a bunch of stuff we hope people will vote for?

I'd never list my favorites for the cup. That'd be suicide.

I do like Suicide, but feeling that variety is the spice of life, I doubt I'd have more than one of their songs in my top 20.

Basing it on an old (thoroughly trounced) Cup list and adding 10 more -- and doing only one per artist just because it makes it a lot easier ...

The Rain, the Park and Other Things - The Cowsills
The Lord's Prayer - Roy Harper
Somewhere - Matt Munro
Ooh Baby Baby - Smokey/Miracles
Norman 3 - Teenage Fanclub
You've Lost That Loving Feeling - Righteous Brothers
Rivmic Melodies - Soft Machine
Dogs - The Who
I Am the Cosmos - Chris Bell
Rain in the Country (aka Unknown Song) - Pink Floyd
My Love My Life - ABBA
You're as Right as Rain - Stylistics
Tyrolean Music Station - The Conet Project
Supper's Ready - Genesis
Wonderful Land - Shadows
Begin the Beguine - Hutch (but also simply as a song, by anybody)
I Believe - Stevie Wonder
Not a Second Time - Beatles
I Nearly Married a Human - Gary Numan
It's Raining Today - Scott Walker

I was debating between "Grass", "Trust", and "Defecting Grey" and finally decided on none of them! Nice to see you got them on there, Dave.

I noticed you like 'rain' songs. They're usually pretty romantic.

Of course I've been thinking of songs that could easily be on there. 20 just ain't enuf.

I love that Cowsills tune. Full of imagery; it always makes me happy. :)
