Thought I posted this earlier - don't know what happened to it.

Good album but the CD has Memphis on it - Sandy Denny was not born to sing Chuck Berry, sounds awful. On the other hand the singer of this lot below probably was born to sing Chuck Berry, even if he wasn't there is a great version on the album below.

One of the very best bands I ever saw live, brilliant.

Ouch! That's bit hard Rob it is a extra 'bonus' track on the Fledgling Records release - live from the Holland Pop Festival, Rotterdam, 1970.

But you may be correct in principle!

I think the original track listing is consistent and robust!

NP

Released 38 years after it was recorded!!

Image

Wonderful stuff - full of music

Excellent comp.

They made some very good records C. have a look further on - Unforgettable Fire, Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby for starters. Forget the image, Bono's nonsense and the naysayers, they were/are a good band.

My brother was a big fan so I have heard some of the albums you highlight Rob.

They were a good band and yes, Bono does get a hard time which I don't think he deserves

Another good band from around that time

Not much love for the Manics here but I like them well enough, don't think they've ever made a bad album.

Great cover art (Jean-Michel Basquiat) and pretty good album as well.

I've never had a problem with the Manics. The majority of their songs are thoughtful, well constructed, well played and melodic. Seems to be a winning formula

Add "barely". Not helped by the sexist album cover. How times have changed. David Coverdale has never recovered.

Sadly, Pugwash not behind his tubs but there.

He wasn't well last tie I saw Three Friends I sat chatting to Malcolm Mortimore's parents next to me and Pugwash was two rows directly in front of me.

Anyway, great stuff and great to see all the fans and band having fun.

It brought tear to my eye.

Enjoy
