Said it before - has RT ever made a bad album? Don't think so.

I’m not really into prog metal, there’s just so much of it about, and have struggled with this lot from Sweden, but, having not played it for a couple of months, this album took me by surprise today when it came up on a playlist and I rather enjoyed it.

Not as dark and heavy as I remember them. Released last year, maybe I’ll tentatively venture backwards.

I love Richard, but Mrs SB calls it "Old men's music". I've been married long enough to know when to keep quiet

I'm intrigued to know what kind of music Mrs SB likes.

My wife listens to Heart radio secretly when she's driving in the car on her own, can't bear the stuff they play and the dumbed down twaddle that they talk.

She likes music, but doesn't love music. Still a fan of Motown, she likes music that's immediate rather than sitting down to listen to an album. I usually have to play music in the car which she can sing along to ...eg Dexys, Arcade Fire, Todd, Black Keys. Ryley Walker gets no response :( However, her favourite gig of all time was "The lamb lies down" which isn't exactly sing a long

Yes, I get the picture, my wife is the same, put on the VU 'White Light, White Heat' the other day got to 'The Gift' and she left the room, which is one of the more melodic tracks on the album - go figure. What can you do? :D

Mrs C loathes Jethro Tull (or rather the antics of a younger Ian Anderson) - still not quite grounds for divorce

The common ground is Sandy Denny, Brian Eno (not too minimalist), Miles Davis (the mellower stuff) and Creedence - the latter of which she has become a massive fan of.

She's an 80s girl - Duran Duran and ABC and that sort of stuff which isn't that bad

Talking of Creedence

Now Playing (and what a great album this is)

Meant to be the next big thing for a while I seem to remember. Nice album though, nice used in the late 60's early 70's sense.
