Just started on this, probably only get to play the first half or so.

Started brilliantly.

Moonchild has just kicked in - loved the organ swells...

Wow, it’s as good as you guys said. Bloody marvellous.

A nice new upload in widescreen - with Hackett and Bruford.
The real meat starts at 7.40 with Fly on a Windshield

Phil and Steve are both 25 years old here. The other two only a year or so older.
Kids.
Complete Ramones Mp3 set on its way

Searching out some new names.

Opus Symbiosis - Nature’s Choir

Pleasant - Finnish band (plus some Swedish input) with nice if standard fare female vocals in English.

Image

Echorec - The Island

Recently released debut album from Bath based U.K. Prog band. Quite promising but it doesn’t really make it. Vocals are patchy, good in places, not so good in others.

New from the Eno brothers - their full length release (on their own)

It's a corker - Conny will love it Lord Rother not so much

Reading this new book at the moment, interesting stuff. From a list of possible candidates he argues that this was the first true 'prog' progressive album:

Enjoyable

Transatlantic - SMPTe

Not a fan of narrated albums but this is better than others I’ve heard.

Irish duo plus guests. Unfortunately the talkie bits are generally embedded in the tracks so you can’t eliminate them from a playlist, but it’s decent enough.

M-Opus - Origins

Magnificent.

Sanjay Mishra - Blue Incantation. Although my interest was piqued originally when I saw that Jerry Garcia was on a few tracks, it would be an excellent album without him, a relaxing, at times mesmerising collection of instrumentals that I hesitate to describe as an eastern/western fusion as it's better than that. Simply uplifting music.

Not sure I agree with you C. find it rather a cacophonous noise - not an enjoyable listen.

It’s horrendous tuneless twaddle to my ears too.

Giving this a go. Came across a Stray thread on the Hoffman forum and a poster after praising Stray's debut said it belonged right up there with & cited May Blitz' first album & a few others.

Five minutes in & it sounds fine, not yet outstanding as Stray are. Growing on me though.
