I’ve put a load of live albums onto a Spotify playlist during the last couple of years but have rarely dipped into them so am aiming to put that right this in the next few weeks.

Starter for 10....

Right up there with Seconds Out for me, especially the In The Cage + medley and Aftergow bit which is wonderful.

Not a professional recording but good enough to demonstrate what a supremely tight and talented bunch they are.

I prefer Blood On The Tracks, myself. I even prefer Street Legal, if it comes to that.

Did you ever hear Robert Plant’s version of One More Cup Of Coffee?

From his magnificent Dreamland album, which also contains a wonderful version of Song To The Siren.

Yeah, love this one. I first saw Genesis on the Duke tour, just as they were entering their pop phase.

I haven’t seen many better concerts. The Abacab album was a bit of an odd fish, really, but the tour record was spot on.

Worth a stream, definitely. I really like the live versions of Turn It On Again and Abacab, plus the In The Cage medley is thrilling (and I don’t normally like medleys). Note the side 4 differences between the U.K. and US versions...it’s all on Wiki.
