A tremendously robust track from Benefit.

Not a track they palyed live very often.

I saw Tull at least 25 times and I only witnessed them playing it once.

This version is different from the LP version and I am not sure that the second half with John's piano works very well.

Give me the guiatr blasting version any day.

It's an interesting hypothesis regarding the USA/UK Stand Up/Benefit possible divide.

They are both amazing albums and Stand Up for me is marginally better.

Worth a poll methinks....

Did he ever make a better album, Roger the Engineer/Yardbirds perhaps?

Wired.

I'll have to give it another listen although it hasn't done much for me before.

To be honest no Jeff Beck album has ever done much for me.

He is a great guitarist but lacks the tunes

Gave 'Wired' another listen just now, managed to get to track four and no further - pointless, tuneless guitar noodling with nowhere to go. As I said earlier for me Truth is his best along with Roger and I think that's all you probably need of JB.

Truth benefits from Rod Stewart's vocals

Not their finest by any stretch of the imagination and gets pretty boring after a while but worth a listen every now and again.

Depends on your view on fusion, I guess, but personally, I think Wired is a magnificent album. Full of tunes, Clothears Carlsson ;), so there! Previous album, Blow By Blow isn’t far of, but doesn’t quite have the magic of Wired. A beautiful record.

One after the other - all excellent albums, full of melody, great guitar playing and a good singing voice.

Listened to this in the car this morning, poor vocals and unmemorable tunes, save the hit - not particularly great is it? Supposed to be one of their better efforts.
