Playing a live Winged Victory For The Sullen concert off YouTube onto the tv. I suppose you could describe it as ambient modern classical. Beautiful music anyway.
It was raining when we drove up the two-lane highway through the long tunnel of trees that led into the black district on the south end of St. Martinville.

Absolutely!

A great band - they still sounded superb when I saw their reunion with Neil Jung and Yomptepi a few years ago

Chappo? ooof!

Every now and again I have to give HP a listen just to see if my views about them have changed. Reading a biography of Steve Marriott at the moment and thought I'd give this another listen but I can't even get through the first side, just abysmal, what a waste of talent. That voice demoted to shouty overblown R'n'B if that's what you can call it, no wonder Frampton abandoned ship. Just really unpleasant to listen to.

Just read some great comments from a number of rock’s great guitarists about Maschine’s main man and recall liking their last one about 6 ears ago so thought I’d give it a go.

Maschine - Naturalis

Wally eponymous and Valley Gardens, both just reissued by Esoteric in a double CD. Progressive folk / country. Lovely.

Side 2 is incredible: I Walk On Gilded Splinters. A great live epic.
