Quite impressive, but they’ve always been very Floydish.

My favourite album these days, along with Radiohead In Rainbows.
It was raining when we drove up the two-lane highway through the long tunnel of trees that led into the black district on the south end of St. Martinville.

What. A. Band.

I don’t consider them a metal band but they do like a bit of shredding - kind of what Dream Theatre aspire to be. Maybe.

Loved Magic Pie a lot at CTTE. Almost vintage Prog.

NP- Tangerine Dream- Electric Orgy. A treasure trove of unreleased tracks, originally meant for release but, to Edgar Froese's dismay, leaked and distributed illegally online- which led to TD's retrieval of permission of sharing live bootlegs amongst fans.

Brand new release from the ultra reliable Mostly Autumn. 1st play suggests as good as ever.

York band Emperor Norton were voted best unsigned band in Prog Mag’s Awards recently.

This debut album is indeed pretty impressive. Talented youngsters who hopefully will develop a career and not be a one-album wonder. They received a standing ovation at the Fusion Festival yesterday so can do it live which is good.

The singer is almost Freddie style - presumably classically trained, his tenor voice is the stand out feature and the Yes nods in the music are noted.

Only negative is that at 34 mins there’s not enough music!

Broad church - New release from a new-to-me British power pop rock band hailing from Horsham - links to, and somewhat similar to, Asia.

The sound is possibly a bit dated now, but it’s a pretty good album.

Cats in Space - Day Trip to Narnia

Debut album from Mystery, released in 1996 - Canadian band I always enjoy listening to.

This is quite different to the current line up and sound of recent albums but still a decent rock album, more shades of Asia and Journey especially the latter with very similar vocals to Steve Perry.
