Nowhere near their best (for me) but decent enough.

I really like the opener Show Of Our Lives but it’s all downhill after that.
It was raining when we drove up the two-lane highway through the long tunnel of trees that led into the black district on the south end of St. Martinville.

Steve Hughes - Holding Onto Normal

Ex Big Big Train drummer whose last 3 solo albums have been very good and very prog.... this one doesn’t work so well for me.

Agreed. It's not in the same league as some of their earlier platters although it still has it's moments.

Don't even THINK of using a left handed coordinate system

New to me. The Voyage of Discovery continues... (which would you guys recommend of their releases?)

Vocalist sounds like a cross between Roger Chapman and Peter Gabriel.

Didn’t go much on the last album but I think that one was retreating into reflectful and respectful introspection after the tragic sudden death of key member Piotr Grudzinski so I will forgive them bringing some of the ambient tedium that has previously been contained within Mariusz Duda’s other project, Lunatic Soul.

Hoping the new album is back on form and will be playing this during 3 hours in the car on the journey to and from football this afternoon.

Meanwhile, to get me in the mood, giving this one its 1st airing in a year, my favourite of their albums....
