Buttered Bacon Biscuits - Tales From The Solitary Wood
An excellent mix of hard rock, prog and a bit of psychedelia from Italy, released in 2010 I think. This is their only album although three members morphed into Witchwood who released a well-received album in 2015.

Can't recall how to do pictures. Why is it so complex?
Robust stuff anyway despite the naysayers.
It is good. Hasn't quite got the depth of previous albums but there is plenty of good moments.

Apparently this is the no1 album in the charts. Unbelievable. I haven't heard it yet

Same reaction to this unfortunately which has also received glowing reviews. Judy Dyble, original vocalist with Fairport Convention, sounded very good on the track (The Ivy Gate, which spookily has just come on my Spotify Radio station as I type!) she contributed to on Big Big Train's recent release but here, I dunno, she sounds like an old lady to my cloth ears.

The guitars of Steve Hackett and Guthrie Govan make this track a joy.

I bought it today and have played it a couple of times now and have to agree. I'm a bit bemused by some of the negative comments I've read about it from some supposedly long time fans. The previous couple of albums are better but this is still very good.

Comedy of Errors - House of The Mind
Their 2015 release "Spirit" was in my Top 5 of the year and this new one is more splendid symphonic prog - the track Song of Wandering Jacomus is the stand out for me.

Re: PROG CORNER [1413 pages]
The more experimental pieces are nice- some of it I know already (Stearns, Garrison, Halpern, Pinhas) and they are not their best. Loved the Laurie Spiegel and Carl Matthews-tracks so I'm going to chase those up. t's good to hear some of the early suff, musique concrete (Dockstader) and the historic context (Mother Mallard being the first synthesizer group founded with the help of Bob Moog) was very interesting- the DIY-approach and anti-establishment feeling of a lot of these artists almost makes you believe it was punk avant la lettre. Very cool comp!
Stumbled on this old clip on the Toob...gonna dig a bit further on some of these artists.
