Martin Roscoe is from Widnes! His late dad, Albert, used to play in the same big band as my late dad.

It is indeed a small world!

I have myself passed though Widnes many times - gateway to the promised land!!!

Can I get to Widnes?

(Failing that, can you show me how to get to Sesame Street?)

Haven't been able to listen to much music today, just Ms Benedetti's collection of violin showpieces. She is a truly musical player.

Wonderful stuff!

Howard's tubs!

Not one I know. Richly robust I assume, will try to check it out soon.

The tubs are phenomenal

One can hear why Wyatt had to go

Robust stuff?

I think so

Such a rewarding album

Earlier today

A 'supergroup' making a more than decent album with a great range of styles & influences.

The remarkably progressive John Field, known for innovative fingering patterns and the creator of Nocturnes, here with a couple of concertos, the excellent No 6 and the very good concept piece Concerto No 5 L'Incendie par l'Orange - (fire by lightning). Ooof!

Excellent music, terrible vocals ....every Greenslade album reviewed

Image

The Greatest Show on Earth "Horizons"

Fine album. Not sure where Pet Shop Boys got idea for "it's a sin" from, but the title track from this album may give a hefty clue

I have been giving Harmony Row & Out Of The Storm a bashing this week.

Harmony Row probably has the edge but both are corkers.

Often overlooked by the likes of Unhalf, L&L and Full House but it is very very robust

No Thompson but Swarb is just magnificent - and strong tunes too

It's such a wonderful LP cover always loved it.
Fantastic musician but none of his records were consistently strong.

And here was me thinking this thread had gone soft!
Well done lad.
Please sit back and play Bonjour Gioacchino as loud as you dare.
Epic tub thumping.

It's a great cover and the album is not too shabby either.

The young urchins probably got a packet of fags between them for agreeing to the picture.
