Not bad at all, actually. Lots of influences, but, although I don't play it every day, It appears more than once a year.

If you don't already know, you can probably guess, German band from the 70s. Bit of a Gabriel era Genesis / Fish era Marillion rip off but it's done so well it is well worth playing and is highly regarded from what I've read.

(Probably featured on here before but search doesn't show anything. Still, I guess it can't if the artist / album names weren't posted in the body.)

Except of course Marillion came upon the scene a few years later....

Young Italian band's 5th album is garnering stellar reviews. Deservedly so.

Something a bit different. Almost poppy prog in places that melds classical influences with a quintessentially Italian sound, English lyrics and liberal doses of traditional prog.

In summary, very impressive modern prog.

I banged on about their last album Skyline, this is a further step up. Lovely stuff.

Swedish duo's debut album. Morph - "Sintrinity"

Not a huge amount of progginess about it to my mind, but a very entertaining pop rock metal prog album - I suppose it could be likened to Muse.

I enjoyed it anyway and will be playing again.

One for Soundchaser.

Damn fine album!

Played Marillion - Misplaced Childhood earlier today...awaiting the new remixed version with the bonus-stuff and especially the concert from Utrecht 1985...I was there!

An interesting insight into the song-writing of Big Big Train and their leader's views on all things Prog.

A great album - check out the second one - Danger Money (different line-up - more keyboards based - you may well prefer it)
