Only 30 CDs, I'll wait to the definitive box comes out!

.

30 CDs!?!? Are they really worthy of such a big set? I’m not that familiar to be honest but most of what I’ve heard has been largely dull

I'm a different kind of prog fan. I only listen to music by musicians with prognathous jaws.

Listening to Gong recent albums now- they were awesome at CTTE - Hackett, Adrian Belew, Stick Men, Knifeworld (featuring lead guitarist of Gong, Kavus), Focus and Marillion highlights.
Off to Ecuador.

Having signed up to a 30 day free trial of Amazon Music so I can join in tonight's Strawbs listen did a search for Iain Ballamy which led to this album by Indigo Kid. The group's leader is guitarist Dan Messore & I'm hugely enjoying this album. This is in the jazz end of the broad church that is prog. There are elements reminiscent of Camel, Mahavishnu Orch, Pierre Moerlen's Gong & early Pat Metheny. Great stuff so far!

Dragonfly was excellent. Sticking in the folk rock vein,

Early Danish prog from 1971 - hints of Canterbury scene in there with jazz, psyche and full on prog merging into an (at times) inspired mix.

Burnin Red Ivanhoe - w.w.w.

(The track begins with 30 secs of near silence)

What a really good album from a complete unknown.

Shit artwork which doesn’t help of course but the music is excellent. Nothing too ambitious, not really progressive, just a good collection of well crafted songs.
