She's more of a 'singer songwriter' than Norah Jones who hasn't even written most of her own songs. I don't know what your idea is but if someone writes her own songs and sings them then that's good enough for me.

I'm not so sure "fun" is always the first thing one looks for from ANY music, let alone singer songwriters, but I don't find them any less fun than male singer/songwriters, certainly.
