As did I. But how strange... Tim Kerr's playing bass and Chris Gates is playing guitar!

The Minutemen had some funk elements but I wouldn't necessarily play them for a Kool and the Gang fan. The Big Boys' funkiest stuff, I definitely would.

This brings us back around to K's post ("DISCO"), techno and Fac's most important contribution to said genre - I almost don't need to say it - New Order.

Kind of off-topic but in the club-music arena, still belonging to the acceptable/hip category though... has anyone else listened to Big Audio Dynamite and thought of Hot Chip? Or vice versa?
