Excellent question. One of the great mysteries of rock. See also: Humble Pie? Maybe it had something to do with getting back to some roots they had, but not being as good at that type of music as they were at Family-type music.

I don't know Streetwalkers very well as I really didn't get it when I tried it out.

I would imagine that most people would say that either Fearless or Anyway were Family's best albums. I love the entire catalogue and my favourite is Bandstand. I saw them a number of times and was never disappointed. Roger Chapman was certainly unique as regards front men of the time and he did have an amazing voice quite different from anyone else as well. The band were always good live and the albums all bear positive re evaluation. :D
