It's definitely an album I put on to take me back to a happy time rather than because I think it's a musical and lyrical masterpiece...I am putting it on my ipod though but I prefer Script For A Jester's Tear... I never get tired of hearing Garden Party

It took me back alright, but I think the music is a bit more interesting on Script...
As guilty pleasures go I think I've got a lot worse than that....now playing:

That was my first play. Seems pleasant enough, but it usually takes me a fair few plays of his stuff to determine it's true worth. It's certainly not shit, let's put it that way.

After moaning about Stevie's 70s stuff sometimes, I have started to listen a bit closer and I picked this up on vinyl for £2 a while ago. Got it cleaned and sure enough it sounds great. Everything is better than I remember it being - Side 2 is back to back great -
Superstition
Big Brother
Blame it on the Sun
Lookin' For Another Pure Love
I Believe (When I Fall in Love It Will Be Forever)
There is so much going on - and more guitars on here than I remember (Jeff Beck pops up a couple of times).
Of course, I was mostly stoned at the time.

Well, Side 2 of it. It's a great album - one of the first I ever bought I think.
Of course, I was mostly stoned at the time.

It's been too long since I listened to Ellington - I've always enjoyed this album of his.
Of course, I was mostly stoned at the time.

In truth, I will skip 'Aumgn' and 'Peking O' and go straight to 'Bring Me Coffee or Tea'.
I've got it on super loud as well!
Of course, I was mostly stoned at the time.

'Halleluhwah' just sounds HUGE when it is cranked up.

Onto disc 2 of this boxset:
which is a live gig from The Marquee in 1968, in tremendous quality.
The first disc is some of the most perfect pop ever committed to tape. Magnificent.

I've had it for a while, but first proper listen today. I'm liking it so far.
