The Police, obviously.

Although I believe UB40 are the biggest selling reggae artistes of all time.
I've been talking about writing a book - 25 years of TEFL - for a few years now. I've got it in me.

A lot of superstitious people believe that UB40 are bad luck.

I don't know about superstitious - seems like common sense to me.

A lot of regular people believe UB40 are bad, period.

And rather than just one band, i think the King Kong compilation (Leslie Kong productions) is a fantastic lp.
Oh boy is it getting rough, when my old world charm isn't quite enough.

I'm partial to Clapton and the Stones. They're not just the masters of the Delta blues!

Well, she's not a band, but you tell me that 'Stars Are Blind' by Paris Hilton doesn't channel everything vital about reggae and, in the process, pretty much render everything that preceded it redundant.

I do actually genuinely like it.

No one can play reggae like acid-head Germans.

I don't think it's that bad. But if you don't think it channels reggae's vitality, you are unfamiliar with the annual reggae comps that come out with women in bikinis, and lack thereof, each year.

I wouldn't be without my copy of XXX Bashment Sizzlas for all the tea in China. And I really do like Hilton's song, a lot more than the smug tone of my previous post suggests.

Carly Simon's Why is perhaps the pinacle of the genre.

Actually it is genius, really.
