Sadly, I think that's the only Bowie album with a chance in hell of getting nominated. Though Earthling and Let's Dance certainly belong, they'd never make it.

And that's the only Macca record that deserves to be there, at least that I can think of off-hand. Though many would make it, undeservedly.

I guess Pipes of Peace is worthy, but I'd have to hear it again. There might be too many good moments.

Mind you, I'm in a certain amount of disagreement with the whole exercise. To everyone else it's about attacking the sacred cows. To me it should be about records that actually suck. Love Beach over BSS, in other words.

Do you seriously not absolutely love the shit out of this?

This is a better pop record than anything David Bash keeps under his pillow at night.

Sadly, she doesn't. It's her only flaw.

Neither of us are big Bash/IPO fans, though. Right influences, but limited inspiration.

I think they both have a shot. In fact I predict Lets Dance gets in if nominated.

You must be kidding. I could easily vote for six or seven McCartney releases. Press to Play, Londown Town, Back to the Egg - all fine nominees.

That's your right. but where's the sport. "Okay Love Beach has been inducted with 98% of the vote (Carlson being the lone dissent), next up Loverboy's debut album? Yawn.

No. In fact, my heart turns to ice when I hear it.

They are more tolerable than Foreigner or Kansas, though; I will give them that much.

But it has at least one great song. Why nominate this one, when there are MILLIONS of HORRIBLE albums you could nominate?

Posters on his bedroom wall would have been good too, but the pillow is especially young and naive. Also, I happen to agree.

I hate it when a well-loved artist tests your loyalty this much. Ayers has always been maverick and mercurial, but this would have been a bad Rick Astley album.
