This afternoon Stan Tracey, Buddy Holly, the Weezdob Collective and the Carpenters, sadly not enough time for Whispering Jack Smith.

The chaos was always so precisely and immaculately rehearsed

Apparently, Tepper is also a painter and he divides his time between music and painting

Real name John O’Neill

Born in Stanley, County Durham, England, to Northern Irish parents from County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, O'Neill was largely self-taught as a musician, and learned to sight-read music scores.

O'Neill had a UK top five hit single with "I Was Kaiser Bill's Batman" credited as 'Whistling Jack Smith' (a play on "Whispering" Jack Smith). He recorded this as the solo whistler for a set fee and was never acknowledged as its performer, nor paid any royalties.

When the track was aired on Top of the Pops, O'Neill and his family were shocked to see an actor appear on stage to mime to the recorded backing track.

Why would you wish you hadn't told love lies?

Surely you would wish you had not behaved in a manner that necessitated untruth?

Sounds like love died.

The happiness of Candle Mambo, then the desolation of Love Lies. Beautifully mournful 'bone.

Shoulda stuck to the truth.

On the Nosferatu album with the then-Strangler.

An album I have never been able to embrace.
