Skipper, did you join the BCB outing to the Underworld to see SAHB this century, with the late Alex portrayed by an actor live onstage, and film clip projections?

Bit of a curate's egg, I thought. But quite the celebration of passed achievements (sic).

No Chris - I missed that

Fabulous album.

A difficult call.

I'd put a gnat's worst between the first four

If push came to shove it would be between Next and The Impossible Dream

But my vote: The Impossible Dream

.

All great listens.

Listening to this stuff in the US in 1977, I had never heard anything remotely like it.

The best introduction to SAHB?

Debatable.

No it is not.

Sorry pcqgod

Yes, sorry!

.

Actually, not my introduction! I listened to a couple of their studio albums years ago and never got back to them. One of those bands that just didn't quite connect with me, I suppose. But I love live albums, so I'm hoping this listen can give me new appreciation. So far, so good.
Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?

It occurred to me when thinking about the tubs - Ted and Rory...

... all the members that played in Rory's band [not Taste] with the exception of Gerry, are dead:

Rory
Wilgar
Ted
Lou
Rod

Sad

Very sad

I'd love to see an extended version of this album

At only 46 minutes, there must be a load more!

Above, The Slider points out that the whole show is on the SAHB boxed set.

Available on it's own? I bet not.

That's always the problem

I'm not a 'box' dude - demos, alternative takes, etc

Just give me a live gig of excellent quality and sell it separately

"Framed" is an old rock 'n roll number. Bo Diddley? Lieber/Stoller? I forget who.
Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?
