Good afternoon/evening.

I raise my mug to wish you good health and happiness, and as a toast to absent friends.

I play Spotify on my telly, which is hooked to my stereo.

Spotify's general Ultravox screen is a big old smug image of Midge Ure in a hat and sunglasses.

I just went and put a tea towel over the screen. I am not looking at him for the entire album.

I love every ne of these songs.

Each written as a reflection on mid-seventies London life from provincial lads astounded by what they were experiencing.

I like Foxx’s voice and his solo albums

It produced a great collaboration with the great Harold Budd - Translucence/Drift Music

I bought this living in the US not long after it came out.

It blew my mind.

As a fan of Bowie, Roxy, Eno, and science fiction I thought it was the best thing ever.

Didn't explore his solo work after In Mysterious Ways, and that I only heard at work (Our Price) & didn't rate much. Probably worth exploring further, perhaps some of the collaborations.

He very much got into ambient - which you know, I love

His Cathedral series is awesome
