The idea was to see how the songs fit them.

Nope. Still not getting it. In what way does, for example, Brown Eyed Girl fit Bush jr.?
Bugger off.

You make what you can out of the list or ignore it. Maybe it's a pointless exercise, many things in life are pointless.

Some of them fit better than others. I'll admit, Brown-Eyed Girl and Bush Jr., I had not expected that. Don't know what I had expected in his case.

You are so desperate to snipe at me, that you pick what is a common mistake on forums, including this one. What is really pointless, is talking to you.

Reagan should've been coupled with Born In The USA, no?
On the whole, I'd rather be in Wallenpaupack.

I seem to recall "Born in the USA" being his campaign song. He also liked the Beach Boys, and asked them to sing "Their Hearts Were Full of Spring" at the inauguration ball. Guess which song I prefer.

IIRC Reagan completely misunderstood the song (the lyrics), and hadn't caught the harsh criticism toward American warfare (in Vietnam).
You prefer the Boys, of course.

Yes to both. His Springsteen choice became something of a joke, but I don't think it actually hurt his campaign. He did get re-elected.

I would have given Baby one more Time to FDR, and Japanese Boy to Truman.
