John E's a great guy - I have met him a number of times. He is a friend of a friend, and played at his 50th birthday bash.

He played with Stephane Grappelli!

I am not sure guys are aware but Etheridge played with Curved Air's Darryl Way in his band Wolf - he appeared on three albums

This is really good stuff. I'm with you on the 'legacy' stuff - this is clearly as much Soft Machine as anything else. It's not the legacy anyway - it's living, breathing, and fresh.

He had/has a blues band I saw at the St Giles Crypt I was telling you about. Lots of guitar instrumentals from the 60s.
