incredible.

they were very short-lived which was part of the problem.

Less than year and they split

They were also from outside the UK or USA which meant they had to get a major break to get noticed

Back then not bands did that - from the Netherlands- Focus and Golden Earring - that was about it

.

yep.

and even then, i grew up knowing one focus track and eventually two earring tracks.

no exposure.

had to get a lil older to find it all.

Two Earring tracks is better than me - I was only aware of one for ages. Still enjoy Radar Love immensely.

radar love is part of my very being. i've spent a lotttta time on the highway.

but twilight zone hit it big in the MTV era.

reap was the one who turned me onto several great albums by earring. he bought the red bullet box. some fantastic stuff there.

there is still an unplugged album i play EVERY time i hit the road.

Really ought to check them out more - I know Moontan, that's pretty much it.

Thanks for the recommendation, I tend to enjoy unplugged albums.

a bunch are good.

but the unplugged i was talkin about is called the naked truth.

i just hafta play it, whenever i'm on the highway. anuther 45 miles and all.

several classics on it, though. if you hear sumthin ya like in the neighborhood of, say, vanilla queen... you can find the electric originals.

It reminds me of that time I was talking about this very subject with Shuggie Otis in Poundland...
