i really am a space freak. i've talked about it before. i watched the moon landing with her ma... it was her birthday... and i, a wee brat, told her i wanted to be an astronaut. she said, "go for it, kathleen."

i didn't end up goin for it, mwhahaha. but i never lost my love. when we heard the first shuttle would be visible in orbit at a certain time, my ma went with me to the top of the levee to see it, her, walkin with her cane.
