I have seen them so many times.

When they are great is when the set-list is right.

This setlist was perfect

Sadly the last time I saw them live I dragged Theo along (remember Theo Kasparis?) and they played too much really new stuff and it wasn't that impressive.

To be honest the later Hawlords albums are much better than the corresponding Hawkwind albums

We have done a couple of Hawklords PSLs

Huw's guitar just sings here!!!

GO HUW!

One of my favourite bands.

In 1977 I came over to the UK with my family and was listening to Radio Caroline and this amazing rock version of Michael Moorcock, almost my favourite writer at the time, came on and I had no idea who it was. listened all though one of Radio Caroline's legendary lengthy slots before the announcer told us who had played.

ye know, reap loved hawkwind. but i only distinctly recall listening to classic (old) hawkwind with him. by old, i mean right before this. ahem.

but my funniest memory... whenever that line came up, "... and we are tired of making love...", reap would stand up, throw his arms out, and recite it on cue, with a look on his face like he was julius caesar gettin stabbed. mwhahaha

23 years later I saw them live for the first and only time, a short walk from my house in Brixton, at the Brixton Academy. The lineup included Dave Brock, Hugh Lloyd-Langton, Nik Turner, Dik Mik, Lemmy, Terry Ollis, Tim Blake, Simon House, Del Detmar, and a good few others.

It was called The Hawkestra.

The only band I’ve had tickets to see twice and have not seen ever!
First time it clashed with a family holiday.
Second time the venue burned down or some such and it was rescheduled somewhere I didn’t fancy going!
My loss I think.
