and may i say i get a pleasure from blues women singin about low-down mistreating men. only seems fair
It can't be helped
But there's a lot of it about.
But February made me shiver
With every paper I'd deliver
Bad news on the doorstep
I couldn't take one more step

And off we go with another take on the blues.
It took me a while to warm to ZZ Top, being a bit of a blues purist/snob for a while, but have come to realise that they were a fine band for at least the 70's - lost me completely from Afterburner.
This is a cracker.

Such a great lazy sound
Effortless
Great live - entertaining
Great beards too
[Even Frank Beard sports one now!]

Agreed
Agreed
They never took themselves too seriously but the popularity got to them a bit.
After Afterburner it was sadly downhill

Ohhhhhhhh.
I had a girlfriend in Montreal called Nina - she was a librarian. I met her working in the college library.
We were together for two years. We had this thing:
Me: 'You're bad!
Nina: I'm nationwide.
*sigh* memories...

The last time I saw them was on the El Loco tour and there's a number that starts with maracas
And from the ceiling miles up was lowered a pair of maracas on mile long cables.
It doesn't sound funny now - one had to be there, but it WAS very funny
