Re: RIP Tim Bogert
Retired after a motorcycle accident in 2010 and now losing the fight against cancer, I read in Wikipedia
Vanilla Fudge, Cactus (and less so) BBA were part of the soundtrack of my teenage years.
Tim and Carmine were one hell of a rhythm section..
RIP.

Re: RIP Tim Bogert
Sad news.
I was never a Vanilla Fudge fan.
Cactus had there moments and ditto Beck, Bogert & Appice
As Felix quite rightly says Tim and Carmine were a formidable rhythm section
RIP Tim

A mighty bass player, and half of a mighty rhythm section. I've never been a big Vanilla Fudge fan, but I enjoyed his work with Cactus and BB&A.
Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?

Re: RIP Tim Bogert
Unlike everyone I know, probably, I have a great fondness for the ultra-dramatic deconstruction of songs when covered by Vanilla Fudge and their no less emphatic originals.

Re: RIP Tim Bogert
I heard some songs of Hollywood Monsters with which Tim was involved in and that wasn't too bad...Paul Di'Anno, Don Airey and Vinnie Appice involved too.
BBA was the only thing I remember really being fond of....
