LMG wrote:Erm... This is fabulous. But what do the lyrics have to do with Salisbury?

It is a rather mawkish love lyric -

Your kiss is sweeter now, your breath is getting warm
We must take our time and last it through 'til dawn
I wonder will it be, oh, I expect it to
There have been other girls, no one else like you.
I feel a power here I never felt before
And I begin to see what draws us to want more
Oh, girl of all my dreams, please, tell me if I'm wrong
Because I've been blue, but we belong,
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
As time passed and all too fast, I just knew we couldn't last
And I guessed that the end was near at hand, oh, yeah
Though we tried our love inside, it just crumpled up and died
What went wrong I will never, never understand
You tell me why.

So why Salisbury? Was that her name?

Probably a meeting at midnight within the stone circle at on the eve of the summer solstice. It meant a lot more to him than her.

Apparently the audience at a Heep gig helped out when the band found themselves in a tight spot and this, or more precisely the title track, was their reward.

Not sure what the 'tight spot was....

Ah. That was the time they all left the hair conditioner in the last hotel and were in danger of having to go onstage with appalling-looking damaged hair...

By the way - when you look at the Double Headers you'll note ZZ Top's Tres Hombres appears twice.

I've left it as it is at present.

If both pairs get into the top 10 then I'll ask one of the providers to select another ZZ Top album

You know, I think I have only ever heard this track all the way through a couple of times.

I have been a fool - it is great stuff.

Indeed it is!

Five incredibly strong albums in two years - that's going some.

And we didn't play what is considered by the majority to be their best albums Demons & Wizards

Lee Kerslake lived round the corner from me (I am not making it up).

I once saw him in Poundland but did not say hello, as he was engaged in a heated discussion with Sharon Osbourne about substituting hair conditioner (I might have made that up a bit).
