If you don't watch the whole film just watch the first ten minutes when the conquistadors et al are descending the Andes stunning

Absolutely stunning

Thanks - I've never seen it, though I've had the soundtrack for over thirty five years.

It's excellent - the first ten minutes are mind blowingly stunning

I have a Herzog box somewhere. I fear it might be in storage.

They soundtracked Nosferatu as well, no? That too is in my box. Somewhere.

This is worth remembering:

Fricke was one of the first musicians to own and use a Moog III synthesizer, with which he recorded Popol Vuh's first two albums "Affenstunde" and "In den Gärten Pharaos". His recordings with the instruments left an indelible mark on German electronic music. However, he later significantly gave his Moog to fellow German musician Klaus Schulze and largely renounced electronic music in favour of often-acoustic tones

It's difficult sometimes to comprehend that it is all acoustic instruments (as opposed to electronic)

Schulze can be a bit hit and miss but his highs are very high indeed.

That was the track title

There are two vocalists on this album Renate from AD2 and Djong who sang on Tuesday's E&S
