No idea.

I assume it is pure coincidence that the main character of the film White House Down is called John Cale, and his daughter Emily Cale?

Wouldn't have guessed that. Shall be giving the words more attention than usual as Gun plays.

Sounds more like a Velvet Underground song than the previous songs, though a couple of the ballads were slipping slightly to Sunday Morning territory.

Patti Smith loved Fear so much she insisted Cale was to be the producer of her debut.

Judy Nylon on lead vocals - she is Judy of Brian Eno's song "Back in Judy's Jungle"

I wonder if her and Brian had a thing going on at the time being they're both on this album.....

I believe the synthesiser used on this album was included in the David Bowie Is... exhibition. Certainly, it resembled a large briefcase, which Cale describes it as looking in The Island Years compilation.

as i said, patti was huge for me. i still love her debut. i love her.

as many gaps as i had back whenever, she somehow was not one of em. amazing, really, how i found her. i can't even recall how.

Exactly why I love the album.

When I was thirteen I LONGED to understand this song and what it was about.

Still have no idea.
