And the voice.

I've taken no personal interest in him, did he have a very supportive/nurturing (musically) family?

YES!

His papa was a jazz musician, hence the bruvvas pursuing careers on stage was not a problem in a way others faces.

Stevie's early appearance in nightclubs WAS a parental concern however. From age thirteen, I believe!!

Thanks - makes a great deal of sense. Knew he was very young - possibly 16 for the first Spencer Davis hits - playing in clubs from 13 - wow!

Chris Wood had a drug and alcohol problem.

The death of Rebop (and Paul Kossof) had a big effect on him.

He became more reliant and died aged 39 soon after

Very sad a great talent (but a wonderful legacy of music)

Such a mellow, laid back feel to the whole album

But layer upon layer of musical wonderment

Lovely, just lovely.

This is the 'Can't Find My Way Home' Winwood.

One of my favourite songs of his.

I know! nothing on FM radio when I was growing up. The others, Blind Faith, even the first Winwood solo album - all played to death.
