I've taken no personal interest in him, did he have a very supportive/nurturing (musically) family?

Stick with it lass!

Switch off and switch on again - that might help!

I love this album - often overlooked in favour of Low Spark or John Barleycorn - unfairly methinks

A stunning voice

All of the Traffic catalogue is ripe for rediscovery.

YES!

His papa was a jazz musician, hence the bruvvas pursuing careers on stage was not a problem in a way others faces.

Stevie's early appearance in nightclubs WAS a parental concern however. From age thirteen, I believe!!

Roger, on tubs, doesn't always get the credit he deserves

Hawkins's drumming can be heard on dozens of hit singles, including tracks by Percy Sledge ("When a Man Loves a Woman"), Aretha Franklin ("Respect", "I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Love You)" etc.), Wilson Pickett ("Mustang Sally", "Land of 1000 Dances"), The Staple Singers, Johnnie Taylor, Cat Stevens, Duane Allman, Joe Cocker, Paul Simon, Bob Seger, Rod Stewart, Bobby "Blue" Bland, Boz Scaggs, Albert King, Traffic, and Willie Nelson.
