This album's lead off always reminds me of several soundtracks I had to early 70s blaxploitation flocs - Superfly's Badass Big Score, music by Isaac Mayfield and the Four Tops...

Yes, Roll Right Stone is just a beautiful track - all 12 minutes of it!

I love this album - often overlooked in favour of Low Spark or John Barleycorn - unfairly methinks

It's interesting to note that from here on in (in terms of Traffic's catalogue [including the 90s reunion album]) that Jim Capaldi has relinquished the tubs stool over to Roger Hawkins and Jim now only bashes percussive stuff and does a bit of singing

i agree.

everything in my neck of the swamp kinda stopped with low spark, not really sure why.

although the very first traffic song i heard, i didn't know who traffic was. i was a kid. i loved it, but didn't know who did it. then i saw a famous cassette ad in rolling stone, just a buncha famous cassettes, and i saw my track, heaven is in yer mind, mwhahaha. once i knew it was a band called traffic, i explored
