I am by no means a 'fan' of Pretty Things but I've become quite infatuated with "Parachute" the past couple of years.
This track is, for me, probably the quintessential switchover from the 60s to the 70s.... the two participants, one wishing to stay in the city and the other wanting to escape to the country. It's a wonderful summation of the difference between Carnaby St and the festival vibe, that certainly happened at the end of the decade. It helps it also has a chord structure to die for.
