Iain Sutherland RIP

Postby Neil Jung » 07 Jan 2020, 21:22

Iain Sutherland of The Sutherland Brothers sadly died at the end of 2019.
It was raining when we drove up the two-lane highway through the long tunnel of trees that led into the black district on the south end of St. Martinville.

Very fond memories of a Sutherland Brothers & Quiver gig at Reading Uni circa '76. Good songs and harmonies, recorded work sometimes let down by productions that made the songs sound rather too soft. The Slipstream album is what I would class as a guilty pleasure if I were younger or more bothered by other's opinion.
Iain's 2015 album Back to the Sea is most pleasant - it is on Spotify.

RIP Iain.
