Brilliant

I like the timbre and its aching but raw quality - fragility isn't quite the adjective that initially comes to mind!

Not heard any of his solo albums, with the possible exception of Story of I which clearly made no lasting impression. Worth exploring or does he need the benefit of others to challenge/inspire him?

Enter Clint Eastwood

He throws his poncho over his shoulder and rolls his cigar across his teeth....

When you go home and sleep this night
Dream of wings and astral flight
Fly with the speed of waking light
And we'll go
And I'll show
Show you the way
To the Grand Canyon

I don't know why but it always brings a tear to my eye

Stunning

Good tubs from Blinky and solid bass from Lee (as always)

Yes, Grand Canyon is a fine suite. Much prefer it to Relayer, which still hasn't really clicked for me.

We'll swoop right up the Canyon wall
Then, like an eagle, down we'll fall

The suite reminds me of a Brian Wilson epic, more in intention & construction than a similarity of sound.

Agree on the solo.

I'm not sure you've heard it JJ, but this is worth a listen (an earlier Moraz band - 1971 I think)
