REVISED, REVISED: Battle of the 'Helium Boys'

Postby C » 02 Nov 2019, 18:07

Burke Shelley versus Geddy Lee versus David Surkamp

I wonder if they'll be a split across the pond [and elsewhere]

Well?

The guy from Budgie, really? There must be a lot of people here who don't like Rush.

I could listen to Burke anytime, but Geddy can get too shrill for me.

So Burke gets my vote.

The Budgie boy for me.

I think he is a better bassist and wrote some awesome tunes with great titles!

David Surkamp is a good call and I thought of including the lad but decided against it - he's not as 'big' as the other two.

Is he?

Surkamp should be in the poll - that first Pavlov's Dog album knock's anything by Rush into a cocked hat.

Zoom Club has a phenomenal vocal, don’t you think, C?

I like the music of Rush, but can't stand the vocals. I dislike the music of Budgie, but don't mind the vocals. A musical paradox. I should have voted for Jimmy Somerville.

Surkamp is God.
It was raining when we drove up the two-lane highway through the long tunnel of trees that led into the black district on the south end of St. Martinville.
