yes that is true. at one point in the 90's their live show played Larks with some violin-like synths and Trey Gunn(bass player) had some funky effects that worked that part. The new lineup while not that 70's way is still very interesting.

Future Games, Bare Trees, Kiln House and Mystery To Me - all post-Green and pre-Buckingham/Nicks - are my most-listened-to FM albums these days. Sadly overlooked. Except for Penguin and Heroes Are Hard To Find, I enjoy all of the albums through Tusk; Mirage is where they lose me (though I like "Hold Me").


Back to the thread subject, though... The Dismemberment Plan followed a promising debut with two of the best albums of the turn of the millennium, The Dismemberment Plan Is Terrified and Emergency & I. Fourth album Change was a disappointment and then they broke up. High hopes for their reunion record Uncanny Valley were dashed by the music itself, and they wisely broke up again.

But it ain;t what I want to listen to,

I don;t utterly hate Nadir's Big Chance but I don;t like it much either

For me, the next two are much stronger than Fool's Mate - Chameleon in the Shadow of the Night and The Silent Corner and the Empty Stage and my personal favourites

In fact the next three are no slouches either In Camera, Nadir's Big Chance and Over
