A killer soundtrack for a goddamn popcorn sequel

Postby GoogaMooga » 28 Sep 2019, 16:42

Picked up Charlie's Angels 2: Full Throttle OST from 2003. This is an insanely good soundtrack, real killer. The compilers have tapped into something here, they totally understand what makes hearts beat and feet move. Pink and William Orbit have the first dance, and then it really takes off, with Nickelback's powerhouse performance of Elton John's old warhorse, "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting". Waitaminnit, did I just write Nickelback? Yes, there are acts on here that I wouldn't normally touch with a barge pole. But on here they totally make sense. Rawk, AOR, pop, hip hop, disco, why the hell not? Strange bedfellows in a strange bed. Unmade beds are the way forward, this is how good it can get when you feel cheeky, bold, and extravagant.
