Any good?
I love the Compass Point trilogy of albums and have been playing deluxe versions of Warm Leatherette and Nightclubbing a lot this week but the 3 disco albums that precede them I have never knowingly heard a thing from. I see a nice looking 3 CD box set is available and was tempted to take a plunge on it but thought it may be prudent to check them out first.
Any thoughts on these? And the post-Compass Point albums too for that matter as I've never heard anything after Living My Life (which unfortunately does not seem to have a deluxe version available)

Re: Grace Jones - The Disco Years
I have had this box for several years. The first album is really good, and the long version of La Vie En Rose is one of her best tracks - probably THE best. The others have a few good songs but become a bit samey. There are some interesting remixes, but none of them are outstanding. A Tom Moulton production, of course, which is a good thing. When I bought it, it was pretty cheap.

pretty much as Mr Passion says. worth it if it's not too pricey. But nowhere near the Compass Point stuff but again not much is.

Post Compass I'd highly recommend the Hurricane album with the second Dub cd.
I find the dub version even better.

That Hurricane album is great. Agree about the dub too.

Really enjoying what I'm hearing of this this album so far on youtube. I'll try and pick up the version with dub album if I can. As for the disco years I'll think I'll only pick it up if its cheap as I can't imagine listening too often.
