Arctic Monkeys: Tanquility Base Hotel & Casino

Postby soundchaser » 14 Aug 2019, 13:43

Anybody else taken a trip out to this place, yet? Definitely four stars out of five. But really 5/5.

One of my favourite albums of this century. Most excellent for a late night chill out.

I have fallen behind with them, but I do like what I've heard so far.

I suspect you'd really like this album. Very different to what they've done before. Very chilled, almost lounge.

Played it once, on the day it was released. Actually, like the Monkeys a great deal, but this is just a self indulgent solo album, in all but name.

I don't mind them going in that direction at all, I think the lead singer's voice is well suited for that.

No, no, it’s really great. A real grower.

I'll give it another listen this week. I was probably hoping for A.M. 2, and it couldn't be more different.
