Sit Down - James

Sit Down I Think I Love You - Buffalo Springfield

You Can't Sit Down - Booker T and The MGs

(I actually saw this performance on a trip to the UK -- a real show-stopper onstage (this doesn't begin to show the excitement), he came back several times to repeat the last section)

Things that a fella can't forget...

An easy C for me- although A's anthemic qualities are definitely high quality too. B was merely alright.

Of the ones in the OP, I'll go with B, although there are other versions of both that and "You Can't Sit Down" that I prefer.

Sitting By The River Wasting Time - The Lennerockers

I chose B.

Is the Moodies song of the same name too obvious? I love it!

It’s a great song, otherworldly. Which The Moodies always did very well.

As for the poll, I went with Buffalo Springfield. I really love that song.

I have been working on the James song as part of my little guitar repertoire. It's anthemic qualities seem at odds with the lyrics which seem to me to be about depression.
