Lou Rawls sure came close!

Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

I always knew that my theory would be shot down in flames. That's borderline iffy at best

I don't hate the Staples one but it's just not right

Stills.
Always.

I quite like the Muppets one though

My favourite version of this is by Sergio Mendes. Magnificently moody and as funky as hell. I first came across it on a series of comps I used to buy in Camden in about 1990. Still sounds great to me today.

The original is the best. The genius of that song is the 12th fret harmonic on that two-note riff. It unique and very subtle yet it grabs your ears straight away.

I first heard that song on the White Room! Channels 4's live music show, they used to play one archive clip a week and once it was the BS on Smothers Brothers.
