iirc, Lambert wasn't in Strawbs yet when this was recorded. I think he was already envisioning the more electric band.

Anderson was probably only ever intended for this one, but I think he did actually try to talk Glover into joining Strawbs. Understandably declined.

Never noticed this before, but there's a touch of Ronnie Lane in this performance.

Originally planned as a Dave Lambert single before he joined Strawbs. Dave Cousins replaced Lambert's vocals with his own and released it as a single

This tips a nod towards Bursting At the Seams.

Would like the Anderson, Wakeman, Glover & Hiseman unit to have supported one more time.

My view is that it is Lambert on lead guitar

Love the bass 'whoops' in the fade.

Great record. Thanks for the company!

I know she will. And anything Strawbs related will always be imbued with Reap's spirit. XO.

I only found about Reap’s passing through this thread, so I’m saddened and honoured to be playing this album in his memory. I’m streaming through Spotify and despite its age, a first listen for me. Initial thoughts: magnificent. Beautiful music here.

R.I.P. brother Reap. You can always sync listen from heaven. C has the contacts, I’m sure.
