Thanks! Yeah, I got me some Piazzola, thought he was old school, though.

Nuevo tango's a genre/movement within tango that incorporates elements from modern classical, jazz and so on, which he is sort of the father of, moreso than just "new" tango. It is to traditional tango somewhat what the avant-garde and bebop scenes were to traditional jazz around that same time, basically.
