Just in case anyone but me has tried it - you need to buy 39 CDs to get all of the Andrews Sisters 668 studio recordings. Only 3 tracks have never made CD to date: 'My love went without water', 'Helena' and 'Music makers'!

Well I for one find that vaguely interesting although that's 39 more Andrews Susters CDs than I currently own and 38 more than I'm ever likely to.

I'm not convinced "diehard" is the right term for most Andrews Sisters fans. Diesoon? Diequitelikely?

The reason why you would need that many CDs to get it all, is that the vast majority are Greatest Hits comps, seeing that they recorded mostly in the pre-LP era. I like them, but would not attempt it, too much overlap.

You ought to get one, at least. "Bei Mir Bist Du Schoen" is one of the best songs of the 1940s.

I am the archivist for the estate of the Andrews Sisters. I have searched for YEARS to find a copy of "My Love Went without Water" but no luck. I can't even find an MP3. I would gladly trade an Andrews Sisters collectible for either the original 78 or an MP3 . Contact me at [email protected] Thanks so much - David Shelton St. Louis MO
