In the Aeroplane Over the Sea?
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Surrealistic Pillow or Odessy and Oracle.

It Takes A Nation of Millions was a great choice too.

More Songs About Buildings and Food certainly deserves a mention.

Prolly Dylan's or Neil's, or maybe even Beatles'.

I don't think they ever bettered this album, I saw them at Sheffield and Bradford supporting Metallica on the MoP's tour and they cleaned up both times. They were the link between trad metal and thrash - fast chainsaw guitar, decent lyrics for metal and a screamer that could have been in Journey. AIR, Lone Justice, Madhouse, Stand or Fall, Gung Ho - serious riff-age and speed. 'Among the Living' was a real turd after this, no tunes, crap production, not giving Belladonna anything worthy to sing, wearing those stupid fucking shorts and mixing metal and rap - Scott what were you thinking, you invented Neu Metal.

Hmph! A couple of months ago I dug Among the Living out for the first time in years and years. Loved it. Surely you can't be knocking "Caught in a Mosh" and "Indians"?

Pretty much I can, Indians is OK but the whole album is just monotonous, the drumming is disgraceful its taken a big step back to remedial NY-HC, they had double bass drums on that album - but you wouldn't tell anybody. The the guitar sound has no definition, its all chugga-chugga shit, Joey is just chanting the lyrics because hes got no time to do much else, its like every song has to be faster than Gung-Ho and spends too long just doing the same thing over and over a n d o v e r. It's one dimensional boring piece of kack.

A surprising nomination, but certainly it's very good, much better than his first.

Not counting compilations/soundtracks
The back cover of "CAN SOUNDTRACKS" states: "SOUNDTRACKS" is the second album of THE CAN but not album no. two...Album no. two [Tago Mago] will be released in the beginning of 1971

That’s one of the finest works in the post-punk genre without question.
